How to Allow Courage to Overtake Fear

BEING a daughter, woman, and a new entrepreneur—and generally living in a crazy world—the opportunity to exercise courage seems to present itself on a daily basis.  We have to constantly ‘Will’ ourselves to be fearless.

Courage is not the absence of fear but rather it requires fear to present itself.

We wouldn’t be human if we weren’t a tiny bit of fearful.

Fear is something that we all have struggled with at some point in our lives. I remember being afraid of what was going to happen when I began my teenage years in a new city with new faces. And with no family and friends with me, I have to explore — well, that will be a nice word to use.

I thought many a time, How am I gonna to do this? Well, here I am, sitting behind my desk and typing an article on how I feel and with hope, it will somehow change the world.

Here goes, What is Fear?

“Fear is just a call to exercise courage.”

Without fear, we can’t have courage. We cannot act courageous in any situation unless we have something or someone to protect and love, something to honor, something to prove worthy, or something to commit to. Fear is a call to action and that action should be courageous.

But lets keep in mind that there needs to be a healthy level of fear. “All things in moderation” is a saying I try to apply to most areas of my life. Don’t let fear take over and cause inaction. That would be cowardly.

With so much that is going on in the world, all the more we look fear in the eye and shoot it down. Don’t let it take over. Don’t let it win.

As leaders of our homes, businesses, lives, workplaces, etc., we need to understand how important it is to have courage. We were made to be courageous — remember that.

God is always with you, XOXO ANJE
